: Hi!  I'm having some trouble finding out information on what the health code requirements would be for starting a cake decorating business in my home.  I work full-time right now but have been thinking about doing something I enjoy part-time. (if it's worth it)  I was wondering what type of license I would need to get and what the legal requirements are. I know it can vary from state to state but I'm sure the requirements are similar.  We have a basement that has a complete kitchen set up if I ever want to do something like this so finding room won't be an issue.  Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
