Around here all the vendors just hand the bride a list of the "cake ladies"...they don't expect anything in return. I do have one venue that only recommends 2 of us and they require a 15% referral fee, which I don't like, think it is a little high, but do it just because it's a really cool venue and you never know who might be there!!
