Credit Card Acceptance

Do any of you accept credit cards? What is the least expensive way to do this? I signed up to accept them a few years ago and it just cost me mre than it was worth. I imagine things have changed alot in the last 5 years and I need to get with the times. I can accpet paypal but I am thinking I should just be able to accept payment without going through paypal. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you,
