: I advertise on the Knot, and I got a message that seems way off. It's from someone in the UK whose coming to the US for a small wedding. Their english is poor, both grammatically and spelling. They want to spend $8000 for a small cake and the minister. which they want ME to book. I am pretty sure this is the start of one of those Nigerian scams. Has anyone else received a request like this?

They must have been trolling the knot Phila. I got two copies of this exact same email this morning. I deleted them without replying. I'm sure it's a scam. It's actually pretty funny! You'd think these scammers might be a little smarter with the details and the grammar...$8,000 for a wedding cake???
