Is this all you've ever done (job wise)?>>>>>>>>no, I was a secretary for an insurance company and then a chemical company and hated it! Then when my first child was born, my husband wanted me to stay home with him.
Part time or full time?>>>>>>>>it started out as part time when people started seeing cakes I'd done for church or family or friends and quickly became full time even though I never planned to have a cake business, but it was great because when my kids got in school, I could work around their schedules.
Did you take classes first or are you self taught?>>>>>>>in the beginning I took a basic YWCA class and then taught myself a lot from books. Since then, I've taken a few other classes.
Anybody have college certification? (such as pastry chef or bakery arts)>>>>>>>not me and my customers could care less if I have any certification or any paperwork as long as I can do what they want.
From home or from a retail space?>>>>>>>always been from my home and that's the way I prefer it - can be my own boss - be gone when I want to, work around my orders to do what I want to do.
Favourite tools that are a must have?>>>>>>I couldn't live without my KopyKake machine. I use it nearly every day - saves a lot of time in duplicating pictures, etc. I love all the fondant molds, too, as I'm not into the gumpaste and fondant other than the molds.
