I agree. January and the first half of Feb. was totally dead then all of a sudden I got two to three calls a day for wedding cakes and now it's died down again (for Easter??) - I am seeing a lot of smaller cakes and people holding taste tests with several decorators before deciding. I think it truly is the economy. I'm happy because maybe I can have a nice calm wedding season????

I have also been having a lot of tastings, but no checks. My previous experience was that about 90% of tastings resulted in bookings. Suddenly, not. I haven't changed any recipes or raised prices...any thoughts?
