Deanna, that's a tough one because like Anna said, they have to make their profit, but so do we and we can't buy supplies as cheaply as the "big" companies can. I once supplied a restaurant with a l layer 6" cake for their birthday cakes, but I think I got $7 or $8 for them and I delivered them - like 10 at a time to make it worth my time. It was mostly a border and a rose on them.
