Oh, I wouldn't cut my prices drastically - people are just scared right now and very, very busy. Wait till the beginning of the new year when visions of sugarplums are replaced with visions of walking down the aisle. This time of year is always slow for me (thankfully - I need to catch my breath), so I came up with a new way to introduce myself to venues I've been wanting to get into. I bought a program called My Memories Suite - it's an online scrapbook - I import one wedding cake per page, change the background to comiliment the cake and add a border plus lettering. Then when you're done, you send the scrapbook out to their publisher and get a hard copy or photo copy book made for around $30. I got three made and sent them out to function hall coordinators. 26 pages and slim enough to keep in their consultation folder. Cheaper than a booth at a wedding show.

: 2 cakes last week, 2 cakes this week, no other orders in sight! And wedding season is over here in the north. Usually I have most of spring booked up by now, not one booking completed. SOOOO, I am taking action. Next Friday I am launching a new website for discount wedding cakes. 100 servings, $300. Pick up only. They will be a simply decorated 6-9-12. Not torted, no fondant. no roses. Meant to be decorated with fresh or silk flowers.I will offer kitchen cakes if they need extra serviongs. Chocolate upgrade extra $$$. What do you think?
