My business has been way off since the fall! I priced about 10 custom cakes at very fair prices, given the start of the downturned economy and I had no takers. I am in the Northeast, near New York City, and the banking/Wall Street debacle has people scared.

: 2 cakes last week, 2 cakes this week, no other orders in sight! And wedding season is over here in the north. Usually I have most of spring booked up by now, not one booking completed. SOOOO, I am taking action. Next Friday I am launching a new website for discount wedding cakes. 100 servings, $300. Pick up only. They will be a simply decorated 6-9-12. Not torted, no fondant. no roses. Meant to be decorated with fresh or silk flowers.I will offer kitchen cakes if they need extra serviongs. Chocolate upgrade extra $$$. What do you think?
