Thanks for your input. I bought the Cuisinart today. After having really good holiday sales I felt I deserved it. I got it on Ebay for only $225 so I could not pass it up. Husband went to Linens n things and looked at it. He says it is much lighter than the Kitchenaid and that the splash guard is really cool. I cannot wait to get it. I will let you know what I think once I have used it. I think just the higher watts and timer function will come in very handy for making consistant batches of marshmallows.

: Hey everyone! I need some opinions. I need a stand mixer and i am trying to decide which one to get.
I had assumed that I should get a Kitchenaid. However, I have jsut discovered the Cuisinart and I am torn. I love that the head tilts, it has a built in splash guard and has a timer on it. I make marshmallows and I need something that will hold up. I have killed several at this point. The 800 watt motor and warranty are the real killers here. I hate the bowl lift style so the KA Artisan is my only option with Kitchenaid. Just thought I would put this out there and see what you all thougth.
