I doubt the BC pillars working with Wilton plates.
If it were me, I would order the Bakery Crafts® SPS System plates and pillars from Delores. The pillars are marked at different heights and can be trimmed as needed. The plates have a small center nub pin on them. Before icing the cake, center your cake board on the plate and push agains the nub to make a center hole in the board. When read to assemle the cake, simply center the board over the nub to hold it place. I actually use the same size separator plate as my cake but use a board 1 inch wider [I use foamcore 1/2 thick board I order] but cardboard or foil covered cake drums work just as well. By doing it this way, the cake is easily disassembled when read to serve. Hope this helps.
: Does anyone know if the Bakery Craft Spiked Pillars work with the Wilton plastic decorator preferred plates? I was going to get the Wilton Grecian Spiked Pillars, but they look so thin to me, I'm not sure how they would hold up. I have a 4 tier 16-14-8-6 cake that I planned on using these with.
If anyone can think of a safer setup, please let me know. Oh and the bride wants 7" between bottom, 5" between 2nd and 3rd and 3" between 3rd and 4th.
Thanks
