14" gold cake plateau's - ever paint a silver one gold?

: Now that Fall brides are booking like crazy I have an urge to purchase a 14" round (plain design) gold cake plateau but they seem to only come in brassy gold squares or rectangles.  Has anyone ever spray painted one with gold metal paint?  If so, how did it look?
