I am pretty sure that any alcohol is safe for quite a long time because the alcohol acts as a bacteria killer. Give it the sniff test and if you're not repulsed by it, keep it. I have quite a collection of stuff from the liquor store in my basement just for cake flavoring - some I've had for quite a while. Still good. But of course it's been kept on a cold basement floor.
: I cleaned out my cooler this week and found a partial bottle of rum in the back of it. I had used it for a rum wedding cake probably 3 or 4 years ago. My question is: is this Rum still good to use or should I pour it out? None of my family drink so I have no clue whether it would still be good or not. Is it good for use of mixing with dusts like the Vodka or Everclear are? Thanks.
