Can you tell me, if you are making a 3 tiered hexagon cake that has satin ribbon on the bottom of each tier, would you use a tuffboard that was cut into a hexagon shape or a circle tuffboard that was smaller than the hexagon shape? I don't want the tuffboard to show but I am afraid if I use a circular one that is smaller than the size of the actual cake there won't be enough support.
