I know what you mean. Before I stopped teaching classes it was getting like this. People got so they came only for a night out. They didn't even try to learn. That is one of the reasons I quit teaching.

But I am in position to tell you that there are SO many people out there doing their own baking. So I think the drop off is because most women now have jobs and don't have time for the intricate artistry we are use to. I am overwhelmed with customers using the edible pictures and cake kits. See, that means the busy people can do a FAST cake that the kids will like. People are just too busy. Dolores at http://www.sugarcraft.com
