I only use that combination for white cakes. For chocolate, I use just vanilla and almond.
: That's an interesting combination...I had not thought of adding lemon as well as the vanilla, butter and almond flavorings that I've been using.
: The only one of those three that I've tried is Creme Bouquet, and I didn't much care for it. I like to use a combination of vanilla, a little almond, and a little lemon. The lemon helps to keep the icing from tasting so overpoweringly sweet.

I'd like to experiment with some other flavor combination than just plain vanilla for my icing.
