: What is the best way to clean an airbrush? I was once told it was okay to rinse it occasionally with bleach. Is this okay?
At http://www.sugarcraft.com there is a page with the airbrush that will help you. Click the HELP FILE.
If your airbrush starts to 'spit' instead of color flowing smoothly, it is either needing cleaned or the needle is damaged. Keep a spare needle on hand at all times! It is useless if it gets damaged.
I cleaned mine with Airbrush Cleaner (avail at Sugarcraft). Look for caked up coloring.
To prevent the need to take it apart and clean it, rinse with hot water very well after each use. It tends to clog when not used regularly and not cleaned well after use.
