Chocolate and rubber tubing question

On the Food Network I have seen cake decorators using clear plastic tubing to create chocolate tubes. Is there a special kind of tubing that is food grade? I went to Home Depot and there was a sign that said do not use vinyl tubeing for ice makers. Is this because of a chemical in the plastic or something else. Can anyone tell me what I might be able to use instead. I need to make a chocolate hollow tube curved for a slide for a cake topper for this weekend. TIA
