almond flavoring in frosting

I have another problem with frosting. I have a customer who likes almond
frosting so I used it in my normal icing and after a few hours the frosting
was speckled due to the salt not dissolving. Plus the icing is drier
probably due to the amount of alcohol in the almond extract. Any
solutions?
