Bridal Barbie cake

I need to make a bridal Barbie cake and can't figure out how to make the skirt so it will attach to the Barbie. It is made from fondant, but I'm not sure how to roll it out--rectangle, circle, etc. Everything I've tried so far hasn't worked.Thanks!
