My hand writing is terrible, so, I guess you could say I had the same problem you're talking about now. I used the impression letter printers for the longest time until I got a projector to project images, anything onto my cake tops. If you have a computer simple find the font style you want & type out the verse you want on the cake, (need to figure out your spacing) & print out your message, and put it in the projector, and there's your writing to go over with icing.
