If they're for little kids then the people on top of the cake will be eaten so you don't want to make them out of gumpaste :-(. Could you find some little kids cookie cutters then bake a lollipop stick into them to get them to stand upright or find kid shaped chocolate lollipop molds?

Also, they need to be on a platform. You can camouflage the platform. I have pictures on the gumpaste people page. Or on my private website under Special Techniques...if this would help. Private URL below
