Use tip 59s for violets. They are about 1/2 inch in diam. They make this tip for lefties if you are left-handed, too.

The only way I can think of to use a drop flower tip is if you can use a 5-petal closed drop fl tip and bend 2 of the prongs in so they make 2 smaller petals with 3 larger ones.

OR- another way is using the tip 72 (you can see it at http://www.sugarcraft.com - use keywords "decorating tips" and will be on that first page you see the link for.
