There are so many others that are so much better than wilton - try to find either Satin Ice or Petinice and see what you think of those.

: My daughter is getting married this summer and I am making her cake. I am new to cake decorating, having just completed the wilton classes this past summer. I love the look of the fondant cakes and decorations they are gorgeous, however, we don't care for the taste and texture of the rolled fondant. Is it possible to still use the gumpaste decorations (Lace, drapes, etc.) over a cake iced in buttercream or will they not stay in place or cause other problems?
