Need cupcake ideas

Hi everyone! I'm doing a cupcake decorating class Tuesday for 2 classes of Home Ec (or whatever it is called now!) and need some neat cupcake ideas to teach them. I want to do some with piping and some with fondant modeling and cutouts to give them some ideas and they will actually get to try some themselves. They have no experience so I need to keep it fairly simple so they feel like they can do it. HELP!!
