Need suggestions for star theme cake

I have a three tier cake due the end of the month. It has pillars between two layers and stairs off the side to separate pillared cakes. The lady doesn't want flowers on the cake. All she has suggested was light blue icing for the main cakes with dark blue border and stars. Does anyone have any ideas on what would go with stars that we could display between the pillars and on the stairs?
