Ok all, I think I have come up with a design for my friends 50th birthday cake (reference the psot below) I have decided to go with a pretty, girly cake. I want to make some white & pink marbled chocolate curls that are about the width of 1"-2" so that I can place them around the sides of the cake. If you have seen the cake Norman did on the food network chalenge for tripletts the layers that had stacked curls comming out of the sides is what I am thinking about. I just need some guidance making the curls. My thought is that if I spread the white chocolate rather thin on a cookie sheet then once set up use the side of a credit card and scrape it through the chocolate in a arched manner that it should work. If any of you have a better suggestion I would really appreciate your help.
