:  Will he be getting his drivers license, that is a real milestone in a boys life, I would make his cake look like a drivers license. Use an edible image for his picture, and if that is not possible, wrap a small picture of him in plastic wrap, or laminate it. If there is a car that he will be able to use, you could get a picture of it, use a kopykake projector and draw a picture of it on the cake. If he isn't into sports, what is he into, computer, science, books, use what ever his interests are. hope this will get some ideas flowing for you.
