: I do enjoy all the cake shows. It does give a false sense to the general public. I’ve had three culinary students come by to apply  for a job at my store for “decorating” and I live in a small town. Every one who owns a store  knows it’s the book keeping, baking, filling, icing, smoothing and clean up that takes all the time. The decorating is the fast part. Why should they think they can come in and decorate and have all the fun. It’s just like the Chef’s on all the cooking shows, looks glorified. Restaurant work is hot, stressful and not much fun.

: Nice to see that decorators in the "big time" have problems just like the rest of us. For instance, the skull cake from the other night where they made the GP roses to big, and "didn't have any more gum paste".  

I'd hate to be those ladies where the bakery is on the third floor and they have to carry cakes down three flights of stairs for delivery!
