I still suspect frosting sheets. Using the ones we sell, the color of icing shows right through them.

Otherwise, the only way I know to do that is that very expensive (was $15,000.00 10 years ago) system where the cake is put through a printer thing. It is huge too. I doubt anyone would go to that expense nowdays. Dolores at http://www.sugarcraft.com
