I agree with Anita...they ate the cake....if they were not satisfied, they COULD have notified you before the reception and returned the cake...as the old saying goes, she wants to "have her cake and eat it to!" ....NO REFUNDS!





: Who signed the contract? Even when they have someone else pays it's usually the bride who signs the contract.
She sounds like a bully and is probably trying to get money back everywhere. I wouldn't compensate her. Does your contract state that the icing was going to be a particular color? If you decide to compensate her it should be very minimal because we know the cost of a wedding cake isn't determined by the ingredients but by the time, skills and equipment involved. None of those items were affected by the icing color. JMHO
