words on side of cake

I had a request for a wedding cake that has a certain wording a bride wants all around the sides of the cake. She has shown me a picture of them which looks like it has been stenciled on. I was wondering about printing it out on edible paper but thought you would be able to see where the paper has been cut when put on the fondant. Is there such a thing as clear edible paper or does each letter have to be stenciled on separately?
