I agree with what everyone else has said.
1. Don't point out mistakes to your customers. I've cringed a couple of times at a cake, only to have the bride send a note thanking be for the beautiful cake. We are definitely our own worst critics.
2. Whoever signs the contract is the customer.
3. The FOB probably is just now seeing the bills for the wedding and MOB is trying to get some $ back.
4. If they ate it, and bride is happy, you've met your obligatinos.
The only other consideration is how much negative word of mouth this MOB can cause, and will people listen to her. Or will she inspire others to complain to you to get refunds also?
I did offer a partial refund to a bride once because she didn't like her cake. I had another bride who didn't like hers and did not offer a refund, because that cake was smack-your-head gorgeous.
