Thanks for the advice. The bride is not going with all roses. There will be some roses, and some mum type flowers. I am hoping that these will be big and fulffy to fill the space with a few flowers and not weight it down. I think I will drill the base of the stairs and dowel it in place into the cake. That should help with the stability.

The wedding is Sept 22, so I will post pics after that. We are also invited to the wedding so I will be there in case anything starts to shift.

Hubby is confidant, saying that if my first wedding cake stayed up any cake I do will stay up! LOL That first cake was something. Not complicated or anything, just a lot of moving variables involved in the set up and a several dogs.
