How funny you just wrote this. I passed a cake shop yesterday and a cake in the window looked like it had rhinestones all over it. Well, I stopped there this morning to take a closer look and it was just small freehaned patterns all over the cake with a silver glitter pen. The cake was a huge stacked one with light green fondant an green ribbon around the bottom of the tiers, then green gumpaste bows. Although it was pretty from a distance, the painting did not look too good up close, no dimension to it and just looked painted on.
