I will have to deliver the cake about 35 miles out of town, and it will be in the summer. I was planning to put the cookies on after I get the cake delivered and set up, because I'm afraid they won't stay on during the trip. Do you think royal would hold on a cake that is iced in buttercream?

: I think they will work o.k. Anna. I'd give them some time to dry on the cake before moving it though. You could use some royal icing to glue them on with and that might help a bit more.
