how much fondant

: How much fondant would I need for a 16, 12, 10, 6.  Also, I'm doing the pleats and will be cutting into strips and laying on the cake.  It seems like there will be a 'build up' of fondant on top.  Should I not go all the way to center of the cake with the fondant as it will be a stacked cake?  Thanks.
