Possibly two things. The new Crisco. Try putting a heaping tablespoon full of flour into your next batch. This is what the Crisco people suggest as a "fix", 2. you iced filled cakes before they had time to "settle" over night and the cake shrunk up a little under the icing. Kinda like an old person's skin shrinks up and droops as they grow shorter, same amount of skin on a smaller frame. Can you tell I just visited my 85 year old mother?

: I did a wedding cake last weekend that looked really nice and smooth after I iced it with buttercream, but the longer it sat, the more the icing started looking wrinkled or shriveled. Anyone know what causes that or how to avoid it? It's happened a few times before but was able to cover a lot of it up. This cake was really plain so a lot more noticeable. Luckily the lights were pretty dim at the reception.
