Update on Marida

: I have been in touch with Marida's daughter and here is the latest update on her from last night:

Things happen so fast in the hospital:)  First of all, THE GI TUBE IS OUT!!!!!!!!!  The nurse said that if it came out on the third day, that it would be a miracle.  Well, we just witnessed a miracle!  Mom is so happy that it is out.  Mom was so much more comfortable today.  Also, her fever broke; her blood pressure was stable today, so she was able to sit up in a chair for awhile!!  Basically, she got up, the tube came out, her blood pressure stayed up, and her fever came down -- all of the things that you so safefully prayed for!!

NOW, we need to pray for the infection in her right lung.  The chest x-ray shows a small spot of pneumonia.  If she can cough more, this will clear up.  Her blood/oxygen level needs to be at 92 or higher.  It has pretty consistently been at 88-89, until the nurses work on her for awhile making her cough, which hurts.  SO...let's pray that she can cough a lot and get that level above 92.  She also needs to get up and get walking, which will be hard and will probably happen tomorrow.
