Rice paper vs. Wafer paper

: Just a question - can you use edible rice paper from an oriental market for 
Torrone?  or is there a difference between an edible rice paper used for candy 
vs. one used for spring rolls?  

The rice paper at asian grocers/natual food stores contains rice powder, flour & salt.  It is very thin and is not refrigerated.
