Yes. I was taught to scrape the bottom of the fruit (after dipping) on the flat edge of the rim of the bowl the chocolate is in before placing it on wax paper. The blob at the bottom is called "puddling". When you scrape off the excess the extra on the side drops down to fill in the gap but since the area is now "clean", it fills in uniformly between the time you scrape and the time you place it. Hope this helps.
: Hi does anyone have an idea to stop the flat bottom that occurs with chocolate covered strawberries or pretzels if set on wax paper to harden ? Is there something else I should be doing ?
