: Our local chocolate company closes down during the summer and another shop only sells over the counter during the summer - refuses to ship when it's hot out.
: : Does anyone have a suggestin for mailing chocolates during the summer? I would hate to have to tell my customers that I can only ship to them in the cooler months.

After one disaster, the only way I will ship chocolates and truffles during warm weather is in an insulated container with a frozen cold pack, and it must go overnight. The cost is prohibitive unless you are a huge company that gets an enormous discount from FedEx or UPS. UPS told me that their southern warehouses were air conditioned, but the box arrived completely melted. This was the first week of June, destination Florida.
