dipping homemade marshmallows

Since I'm on a roll with asking questions, I figured I'd toss another one out there. I just introduced homemade marshmallows into my line this summer. I have tried to dip them on several occasions and the mashmallows always take the chocolate on them out of temper (I dipped homemade caramels today immediately after them and they are fine). In the past I have attributed the bad temper to the coating of powered sugar or the coat of melted chocolate I had applied and let set overnight. Today I had nothing on them, just the plain marshmallow.

Any ideas on what's throwing the temper off? At least they taste good, so I'm eating all the "factory seconds", as opposed to selling them. However, baby needs new shoes and Mama's got to make some cash off of them.

Help!
Laura
