As to the new crisco, I don't know...have never used it. I use a brand of vegetable shortening I purchase from the local wholesale....has not gone trans fat free yet!
I believe Marida makes her roses with this icing as well....I used an air dried recipe when I make piped flowers [rare for me]. Otherwise it can stand up to about any technique you might use.

Thanks for the advice. Does Marida's recipe work the same way with the new Crisco? Also, can you use that recipe for decorating a stand up bear with the pull out fur? I'm afraid since it is with butter, it will get soft and droop. Also, can you make roses with that? Thanks so much.
