Yes, cut down on the butter by removing one stick. I know it sounds crazy but once I had only three sticks of unsalted butter but needed another batch of icing and it came out so nice and fluffy that now all I used is three sticks. If you want it a bit sweeter add some melted wedding white chocolate. Powdered sugar breaks it down - don't know why but it turns to soft soup if you add powdered sugar.

I was wondering if any of you have ever added a cup or so of powdered sugar to IMBC when you are finished to make it a little sweeter?
I love this icing but the recipe I have is just a little too buttery and not enough sweetness.
I love it, but I have had people mention that it is too buttery.
Any suggestions would be great,
