I have two different recipes that I use. The first recipe mix two cups heavy cream with one small box of instant vanilla pudding. The second I also use to fill and ice cakes. It tastes like a bavarian cream. Mix one small box instant vanilla pudding with 1 cup heavy cream, 1/4 cup milk, 1 to 2 teaspoons pure or clear vanilla. Mix until stiff and fold in one 8 ounce tub of Cool Whip. I actually don't fold in the Cool Whip I mix together using a hand mixer. Even my most picky bride who doesn't like icing was licking the icing off of her Bridal cupcakes. You might try making a batch and having them do a taste test.I also prefer not to use slippery fillings on wedding cakes. Had a horrible caketastrophe with strawberry gel filling. Hope this helps.

: I have a request for a Custard filling for a wedding cake. I don't have a recipe for one, and wondered if any of you would happen to have one to share? I would prefer a "Safe" version if possible. Is there a canned kind that would be considered safe, and yet taste great? Thanks!
