Generally, if you have a restaurant supply nearby, you can by liquid colors by the pint or even quart of about $10....MUCH cheaper than the $2 or $3 you pay for a one ounce bottle. Check out eBay.
: Honestly that can get really expensive. Duncan Hines makes a Red Velvet cake mix you can find it at Walmart for 88 cents and my customers love the taste.
: Question: I do a red velvet cake using a mix and it calls for 1 oz. bottle of red coloring. If I'm making up more than one box of mix, will I still use a 1 oz. bottle PER mix? EXAMPLE: if I make up 5 boxes, will I still use 5, 1 oz. bottles of coloring? Thanks
