I have to do burnt orange pretty often for U of Texas themed cakes. I use Wilton's orange with a little red red and a little brown to make it. You have to experiment a bit with the combination to get it to look right.

: I am having to tint the Cream Cheese Buttercream icing for a weddign coming up November 8th!! Just met with the girl today, YIKES! They are already married, and just having a large reception, I guess is why she waited to the last minute?? Anyway, The icing all needs to be tinted an Orange color, not the bright circus like color, but, more sutle & deeper color orange, like a burnt orange. What other icing color should I mix in with the regular orange color? A touch of brown, copper, or what? Thank you!
